I went to the equus website and popped in the code: P1138 and it came up with this: "AMFR Correction At Maximum Negative Value." In layman's terms, what does this mean?

means someone will be getting new 02 sensors:(

I hated that code, I used to simultaneously get it with P1179, P1188, P1187 I am sure there were more but I can't recall them right know! Musky- is right it usually means one of the two upstream sensors is ready to go. Call Nathan Crabtree (boatbuggy@aol.com) he usually has the best prices. If you have the 1996 D1 that I believe is the cheaper of the sensors; 1997+ required advanced evap which were about $50 more than the other years. They are such a pain in the a** to change too.. It is best to jack the disco to change them. I got my hand stuck back there a few times!
