is it a pull and pry situation to get the kickdown cable out of the transmision? or is there a trick to it, the cable has seased and needs replacing, easy enough to remove at throttle but not understanding at the other end. any help!
You're "supposed" to remove it by dropping the valve body, according to the manual. I was able to use a pick and unhook it. Its a PITA but definetely do-able.
Drop the pan. Manipulate the shifter arm adn the kickdown cable cam such that yu can rotate the cam diwnward. Eventually, you'll get it to rotate and you pull th eol dabel out and replace it.
A PITA but it is better than pulling the trans out so you can turn it upside down!
