Edit: In looking back believe that 83” width figure for the GX550 is with mirrors. Without it appears to be about 79”, approx 4” wider than LR3/4. Still wide but not the pig the Tahoe/Yukon is. Same width as a D5

The Tahoe/Yukon has gotten far too wide to seriously consider anywhere in the East. The GM small block sounds great until you read into lifter failures they’ve been having on trucks post Covid. FIL has a well optioned 2020 Sierra and it’s been constant problems. GM build quality now is a far cry...

This has been the experience of those I know with the 5.0 as well. Some still on original chains over 150k miles. They are no 4.4 but think proper oil change intervals and staying on top of the crossover pipes is absolute key

Don’t know all the details but a shop in Georgia did it. They did have to pull body off frame so not exactly simple

Wouldn’t believe whoever told you that. There is absolutely no benefit to the V6 over the 4.4 and you’re limiting yourself to the lowest spec

That size spare should fit if you deflate though those tires look pretty chunky

If you have to go that far it’s probably too large of tire. You ca. go up to a 32” with no issues. What size are you trying to fit?

Exactly why a 5k LR3 is the move

IMO the T4R is far uglier than the LC. It’s a mashup of a Vehicross/1st Gen Durango/new Sequoia. Terrible styling
