Yikes. Around my area, the difference between regular and premium is usually $1/gallon. I get the "if you can afford the 70k car you can afford the fuel" comments people always make, but man, its steep. In the Chicago area, we are talking ~$4 vs ~$5/gallon. i haven't put premium in anything...

I see a few listed on cars.com by me. Some are sticking to MSRP, one has 5891 tacked on for a "Lojack/Glasscoat Appearance Package" with the following descripiton - sorry for the bullets, that is a direct cut and paste from their web site. LOJACK is a theft recovery system that allows the...

How did the one with the orange beak look like in person? Any more pics? I am curious how that color stuff played out. From this picture, looks a little silly.

Yep. Keep in mind that Toyota has been building 4 cyclinder hybrids for years that go 8-10 years and 150k without a battery change. Plenty of examples of them going longer.

Might be old news for folks, but I just saw this today. I priced out the 1958 as a "stripper" model, only adding rock sliders from the base price. The only thing I would care about that is not on this model and on the next model up is the sway bar disconnect. 56k base price and $1000 for...

33 x 10.5's and a 3" lift is not a Jeep with 40's that gets trailered everywhere and can't drive in a straight line. In fact, I think it drove better with the upgrades I had - RTE springs, castor corrected radius arms, trailing links, a-arm extension and GASP! SHOCK! Rancho adjustable shocks...

Yeah...I found that one. I was the "east" part of the challenge. I looked and looked but could not find the big debate thread I was in. I think it is in the private section now that I don't have access to. I think I did at one point,

    3 Inch Lift kit help

I did a 3" lift on my first disco and wrote up articles on that are still out there on the old Discoweb tech section. For reference: If you want to keep your sway bars: Sway Bar Disconnects: https://discoweb.org/oldsite/disconnects/index.htm In the suspenion install below, it also shows...
