The little piece of metal that bolts to the high low lever on the tcase and the linkage must have cost land rover .1 cent. It is made of the softest metal I have ever ever seen. The truck will go into high gear and drive just fine but that garbage metal just flops around and wont put any...

99 d2 with cdl mod After abusing the disco on some rocks this afternoon the t case would constanly throw itself out of high gear on the way home. I even tried it to drive with one hand on the shifter to keep it in gear but it kept popping out. It seems like it has shifted some way or another...

I thought the tcase had to be out of the vehicle to do the swap.

After doing a lot or research via my cell phone while waiting in traffic it seems I can basically gut the cats get 4 spark plug defoulers and throw no codes and be good to go. So I now have a pjotect for the weekend.
