I would over inflate the tires before I did this. Your truck might drive like crap but your MPG will go up. NOTE-Never exceed the max pressure on the tire!

Check the hose clamp on the bottom of the P/S bottle. The issue is every time you take the cap on and off the bottle twist on the hose and it leaks. The fluid runs down the hose onto the box. By the way an automatic trans and P/S systems are very similar.

They do have clutches!! Thats what wears out and can cause slipping.

Mine does that. From what I found out it is inherent to the T-case being gear drive as opposed to a chain. Its the slop in the gears.

If its salvage or rebuilt they are worth about half the normal value from what I have seen. If it is salvage or soforth I would offer 13-14k.

So are you saying Bosch is good or bad?

It seems the older D! 3.9 have fewer problems than the newer 4.0's. I know the newer ones overall drive better with fewer clunks and such but they seem to have more issues? Or is it that im just nuts? Thanks for any input, just want to see if anyone agrees/disagrees with me.

Congrats! BTW when my daughter turned 16 it was no longer my Rover! I had to buy her a covertable so I could get to drive my truck once in a while.
