X2. Bass Pro seems more of the 'Git er done' crowd. Ive got a Cabela's 5 minutes from me and a Bass Pro about 20 minutes away. Hoping the Cabela's doesn't get the axe but I figure it's inevitable

I was wondering when Cabela's was going to be sold...They've seen a decrease in same store sales and I know damn well the internet retailers aren't doing them any favors!

There are so many right next to each other that there's bound to be a ton of redundancy and layoffs. Though I'm sure they're reassuring the Cabelas employees... that's usually how else things go. I read Bass Pro paid $5 billion. Cabelas is also selling a $5 billion credit card portfolio to CapOne.

Exactly. Not a NASCAR fan so skipped Bass Pro.

People still go to stores?

I do. I like seeing, touching, feeling things. I like instant gratification - when I spend money I want to have the thing I bought, right then and there. I don't want to spend money, wait a few days for the item to arrive, then decide I don't like it for whatever reason, have to send it back (either for refund or exchange), etc.

About the only stuff I buy online are parts. While I am at a store if I like something I'll check online to see if it's cheaper. If it is, I offer the store a chance to meet that price. If it's a significant difference in price and they don't match it then I'll walk and buy it online. If it's less than 20 difference I'll typically go with the store.

That sure sounds like a lot of work.

I even order toilet paper from Amazon while sitting on the pot from my cell phone in between my Snapchats.

I have no Cabela's near. The 2 Bass Pro stores are about an hour away. I only stop at one when when I'm going that way and that's very seldom. Then only if I need something, which is also rare. I'm 62. I have plenty of hunting/fishing/camping stuff. I also have Amazon Prime, so more than likely whatever I need I just order there. MY daughter uses it more than I do.

Most of the folks on my SnapChat are older then I am. Garrett is a lot older than I am, he's old as fuck.

I have yet to use SnapChat.

The Bass Pro in Memphis is worth a visit if you're in the godforsaken shithole. I've been a dozen times or so just to kill time, eat breakfast, drink a beer, buy a few things, etc. It has an indoor range, 8 bowling alleys, a bar, restaurant, gator feeding (saturday only!!), a 'lake" with full size boats on it, several species of ducks, viewing platform and a ton of hotel rooms/cabins. All indoors. 'Murica.
