We recently received this and it's now being auctioned with a very reasonable reserve. It's a legit documented CT Disco used in the 1996 Selections (Dutch team). It's a 1995 300tdi with 8k miles, so not US eligible yet but to any others who have access to Canada or Europe or storage, it's a chance to own a piece of LR history.

All details here https://seconddaily.com/1995-land-rover-discovery-original-camel-trophy-special-vehicle/

here's a couple of pics, one from the Selections in '96 . Link has all the photos and video.

Ditch those pedestrian BFGs and put some 7.5 XCLs on those wheels instead and then it's ready. Otherwise in beautiful shape and if I had a Brazilian dollars I'd buy it.

Seller has set a very reasonable reserve. Seeing what some of these "base" NAS manual Discos are selling for, with only 8k miles and a legit CT heritage, this is a freaking bargain.

I never got the 'warm and fuzzies' for the CT trucks, but some folks sure do and this one, as presented, is as good as I've ever seen. Wouldn't be surprised with any number. It is crazy out there.

I call bullshit...that drivetrain doesn't have a single leak! It can't be legit.

they do say "if they dont leak, they dont have oil in them" ... and all my Rovers can attest to that. This one though has been better cared for most anything I've seen in the Rover world.

One does - D1 and the other doesn't - RRC.

Really boils down to how often do you want to replace gaskets, seals, etc.

The D1 is getting more attention and the RRC has always been looked after.

Very cool Disco - glws.

LOL.

Auction was set to end today. Now it's tomorrow.

Somehow the bids went from $9k to next bid of $20k yesterday. Hmmmmm

The majority of the bids usually come in during the last day (or 2 days) the rest of time really is just marketing time (true for BaT, ebay, etc)... the seller asked to extend given the European holiday. Nothing to hide there. Reserve still hasnt been met.

close but no cigar, relisted. Build date is July 1994, so this one will be eligible in less than a year for import. And then it'll have a 50% premium on it.
