Why in the world would someone go buy any 30 year old car and expect it to be dependable right out of the gate. And then write an article about how stupid he was to think he could buy a 30 year old vehicle and have a daily driver.
Just seems like a dumbass move to me. I bet he's just stupid, no cure for that.

Overall it wasn’t too negative on a RRC.

What caught my attention was the first areas he addressed:

“I’ve updated the suspension with a fresh 2.5-inch lift from Terrafirma, powder-coated black the aftermarket Wolf steel wheels, added a full Front Runner roof-rack system, relocated the spare tire to the roof, added an axe mount, an awning, safari bars and jerry can mounts for extra fuel and water, and I have also updated the headlights to H4s, so seeing down the trail at night is a bit easier.”

NOTHING mechanically done for a benchmark. He actually is pretty lucky it ran as well as it did.

Personally I’d have no problem getting in my ‘94 RRC LWB and heading out across the US. We drove it extensively in Europe on and off road for the five years living there without issues. Actually I wouldn’t hesitate in getting in any of my vehicles and driving cross Country.

I would say the rover gods were truly kind to him In that the water pump went out just before he got it. It also looks and reads like a really nice one.

I didn't read the article, but scrolling through I figured his photo below probably sums up his RRC expectations.

Every time I jump in my RRC I am immediately reminded just how nice it is, and I long for another road trip.

That is not what I got from the article at all. Did you really read it?

No I don't read anything he posts. He's the new Kenneth. He probably didn't read it either. Just looked at the title and figured he found another Rover bashing article and posted it.

The writer was pretty honest about his expectations, less IG than I expected. I wish I had taken better care of my 89 and 92 RRCs.

I read the article. Thought some of the posters here with RRC's would enjoy it. Most articles I post come across my news feed. A few of them for a while were about LR's money woes. Apparently they set "stew off. Not sure why someone would comment on something he didn't take the time to read nor why someone would read something he knew was going to piss him off. He seems to enjoy being pissed off. Can anyone name the Garbage song that applies?

"stew, that begs the question. When having sex do you prefer it when the wife sticks a red ball in your mouth, zips a leather mask over your face, puts clothespins on your nipples, hangs a bowling ball from your dickbag, and peegs you? That seems down your ally.
