Just had to find a replacement D1 due to a drunk driver. People are wanting 5-10k for them if you can find one.

I've been seeing some crazy prices also (IHMO). Trucks with nearly 200k miles and the prices in the $10-12K range. Makes me seriously consider selling my G4.

I just picked up a pretty nice DII with 92,000 miles for under 10. All the other trucks I was looking at were 12-17, ranging from stock to fully built. The market is all over the place. I searched daily for 4 months before I found one that worked for me. It needs a roof repaint and a cowl, but after that it'll be really nice. nicer than my old one I sold 4 years ago.

Im considering selling mine now. Have it on FB currently. 2004 SE, 112k miles. I have done a ton to it to keep it running well. Lots of after-market parts. If anyone's interested, PM me. Im outside of Pittsburgh PA, thinking somewhere in the area of $13k or so ??? I have a ton of details on the truck; what I have done and would do if I were keeping it.

The closer these things get to the upper teens the more they run into some quality opponents, specifically 80/100 series Land Cruisers. Anyone who spends more than half an hour researching knows which option they should choose for that money.

I doubt that is much of a consideration for buyers of a D1 or D2. Mechanically a FJZ80 is superior in probably every way over a Discovery, but at the end of the day it’s still a bloated and ugly vehicle like the Pretender.

The 80 series certainly isn't pretty, but I can appreciate the utilitarian nature. I also far prefer it to newer designs from Toyota.
