That TV screen would probably be a deal killer for me. I just don’t want that much technology.
Yeah, it’s a great swing but wasnt the whole point supposed to be a bare bones old school truck? Sure, with lockers, etc, but when you’re into flat screen 65k+ territory you compete with all the usual suspects and ultimately dilute your brand and alienate the customer base you built this thing for to begin with. For that price, I can 1) Buy a Velar (or many other options) if I just want a street SUV, 2) build a pretty damn awesome off-roader from an old Disco, Jeep, or whatever, 3) import an old Defender. This should have been a 40 grand truck. Or at least had a bare bones 40 grand option. Or has inflation warped my expectations? At that price point, just seems like they’re competing in an over-saturated market. The skinny-fat long-haired poofer in the vid above referred to it several times as a “working” truck. But who pays 65k+ for a (personal) working truck? I love all the tech, and it’s what I look for in my SUVs/cars. But that’s not the point of this type of vehicle. Watch it (d)evolve to meet “the market”.
