With truck running......take a hammer and hit your catalytic convertors. I could swear I had a rod knock. Turned out to be one of convertors' insides got loose. Worth a try and the sound is close to the bottom end of engine.

Before jumping to head gaskets, you might consider removing your front cover to see if there is a gasket failure.

If it has factory fog lights, check the bulbs. I had all kinds of weird crap happen once when one of the bulbs got shorted out.

Whatever you do, don't blow air into the breather tubes. I did this to see if they were clear, and my truck split trans fluid out all over the place out of the dipstick until the pressure was relieved.

The box I got from Will was a rebuilt one and it has been on there for years. On my whole truck, this was the best replacement part I ever spent the money on. This box will definitely go on my new truck whenever I find the right one.
