I used these on my LR3. The only downfall was the 36mm socket wouldn't fit through the hole in the wheel, so I couldn't use the tire on the ground to help keep things from moving while I torqued the nut. I ended up just sticking an Allen key through the caliper bracket into the brake rotor venting.

I think it may be a cookies issue or something. NAS-ROW does the opposite for me.... it un-highlights EVERYTHING, even stuff I have not read, but only on my work laptop. I need to clear the cookies and test it, but I really don't want all of my work stuff to forget me.

Toyota just puts a override button on the dash to allow this. If you want to start, in gear, without pressing the clutch, just press the button.

I don’t know how to do it with Hawkeye pro. I know the cheaper one wouldn’t do it in previous versions. Maybe they have added it. And the pro should do more than the regular Hawkeye. I’ve done it with Nanocom.

I've seen pics of the oposite, RRC front end on a D1. If you google "strange rover" a few pop up.

I'd look for broken engine mounts, transmission mounts, bad u-joints, etc.

You'd be better off if there was some one local, and as big as Atlanta is, I'm sure there has got to be someone with one.

The downfall is that cost of the unit if it doesn't get returned. I know people used to rent out the ABS amigos for the entire cost of a new one, and then they'd refund all but the "rental" fee of $20 or whatever it was after it got returned. Another downfall is that my nanocom isn't licensed...

I'm surprised that every Land Rover owner doesn't have one of these. It's just like a Land Rover, over priced because there aren't a lot of them, but fun and different so it's almost worth it.

What scan tool? You might need to either re-learn or at least re-sync the remote. I've successfully done this with hawkeye and nanocom, but nanocom is much easier. Hawkeye can do it, but it requires reverse engineering the codes a little if you have to re-learn it, or to program a used remote.

Yep. That's how we did them on SOHC Hondas when they'd break timing belts. We'd pull the rocker assembly and do a leak down test. Sometimes people got lucky. Sometimes they didn't. The only other way was to install a new timing belt and do a compression test.
