Thanks for the feedback...... I'll check the Toe, all the rest appears to be good.

No clunk, just a lot of play..... the parts ahve all been replaced within 1,000 miles of each other.

The next item on my list are the trailing arm bushings, this might be the issue. The only way I know how to check is to have someone push on the body and watch for movement at the trailing arms. Any other way?

Thanks for the reply, both the steering stabilizer and the intermediate shaft have been replaced, don't see any movement underneath

I am batling a loose steering situation with My disco. Almost everything has been repalced.... Hubs, tie rods, pan hard rod, drag link, steering box, lower steering shaft, power steering pump, watts linkage. I have adjusted the tension on the box (maybe too much) but still have a loose...

Is your issue solved? I recently replaced my 4.6L Bosch with a top hatted block and have a low knock at the bellhousing. I pulled the inspection plate and all looks good. I am going to retorque the 4 bolts and see if that fixes it.....

4.6 L Bosch out of a 2004 discovery II 140K miles. Engine ran great, but coolant would pool in #4 cylinder after running. Pulled it and replaced with a top hatted long block.

I have a 4.6L Bosch long block out of a 2004 discovery II. The block itself has either a slipped liner or small crack in the block. No overheating, but a small amount of coolant pooling after running in cylinder #4. I have replaced the block with one that has been tested and top hat liners...

I don't know Will. I paid $450 for it a month ago. $350? It has 9 inserts left....

Time sert kit - used once. Part number 12188. 7/16 -14 thread repair kit with 9 inserts. Kit includes drill bit, guide plate, bushing, bottom tap, and insert tool. Used once (successfully) on 4.6L Bosch. PM me if interested....

Update: on cold start, a little hesitation and flashing light. P0327 and P0340. Damn! Any input???
