Question, what panhard bar did you buy and what bushings are included? I bought a Terrafirma bar with Poly Bush bushings are there was so much slop in the system right out of the box, I was getting death wobble until I swapped to OEM LR rubber bushings.
Something tells me you got taken for a new steering box, when all that was wrong was your pump. They do leak from the bottom, and oil will flow down to the gearbox, making appear your box is also leaking. Also, your first "mechanic" can't replace a gear box?
He built mine about 2 years ago, during one of the said limited runs, he usually posts here about making them... haven't seen one since.. Mine was also made by a custom frame shop that he uses to manufacture them.. very well made.. He did tell me that he used to make them himself, but doesn't...
oh and yes, Terrafirma and the junk they're selling on AB, Rover's North, while a "steel" bumper, it's not really intended to take abuse.. I've also got a bomb proof greg davis rear..
you kind of make our point for us, you removed your AC... there's very little room normally under the hood unless you don't have SAI, or remove something else.. very few people will take the steps you did ..
The fact remains that you hardly ever need access to your coil packs, especially of you have quality HT leads like magnecor.. people take draconian measures to relocate these things with very little room and very little benefit in the end..

Whoever said it was "Red", doesn't know what they're talking about. This is the factory spec fluid equivalent for the D2..
The wrap around ones from Rovers North a much more stout than the TF ones... they feel cheap... that being said the T44 ones are the bomb, especially the rear with the skid for the pinion.
