Is there a way to temporarily disable the EAS so I can drive it to the shop for compressor replacement? I assume starting it up with the relay removed is a bad idea?
I just topped off my washer fluid only to find a puddle on my garage floor. The reservoir seems to be behind the bumper?? Is this an easy to replace item? Does anybody know a good source for replacement? Any "productive" input is appreciated....

follow up
Here's a follow up on my cat issue and eventual replacement. I went with the Magnaflow OEM grade, direct-fit replacement Prt# 49719 and had my independent mechanic install it along with the O2 sensors. We decided to ignore the evap code and all has been well for over a month.
The...
I was told that the incorrect switching of the O2 sensors- one before the cat and one after, indicates there is no change in concentration of noxious gasses after the exhaust exits the cats. I am looking for anything to look at before I replace the $1200cats on this truck!
I was excited to...
I am finally getting somewhere with this. I had a mechanic (NOT the dealer but a local rover specialist) run a full diagnostic and he ignored any codes until he watched what the vehicle was actually doing via his "scan-tool."
I was told the only thing that came up was the catalytic converter-due...

That's exactly why I am reluctant to replace the cats. Something (my wallet) makes me want to believe there is more to this. I know nothing is as it once was, but cats USED to last for quite a long time!
MY CEL light comes on for a bit, then goes off. I am getting these codes on my truck:
Po441 says: evaporative emission system incorrect purge flow
P0420 says: Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1
They seem to clear themselves after a few days, then they return in a month or so...
I had this same issue on a 2008 LR3 SE. I had to replace on of the sensors. Any shop that replaces tires can scan each wheel to see which one is bad. I ordered the part and a tire shop installed it. Although they were unable to get the module to manually accept it, I drove it for a few miles...
Does anyone know of a good mechanic in the Orlando area? I have an '08 LR3 looking for control arms, but I'm not willing to pay an arm and a leg at the stealership.
