Hi Juke - about 2 years. Moved from SoCal.
I was sorry to see my truck go after 15 years, but she is going to a good home.
It's rare to see Discos down here.
Not sure what this thing is worth...but here goes:
2004 SE7 black with tan interior and 140k miles located in Marietta, GA
The good:
Engine/trans are good (original engine replaced at 60k miles)
New-ish 245/75/16 all terrain tires
New rear brakes/MAF
New hood paint
New windshield
ARB Sahara...
Hi - can I please get a quote for both rear tailights (upper ones, not the ones in the bumper). Mine are cracked and keep letting in water. I'm in 30064.
Thx!
In case it helps anyone in the future...
My Disco had a very rough start on a cold morning a few days ago and then ran fine, but the Service Engine Soon light came on and stayed on.
There was also a mild electrical burning smell for a minute that also went away. Not sure what that...
I have an 04 D2 and my throttle cable became sticky at around the 80k mile point. Didn't stick all the way open...but it would hold the throttle open longer than I wanted until it would eventually close. It was intermittent and scared the poopies out of me.
Local shop replaced the cable and...
My '04 is getting to the point it needs one too...but I just can't get myself to spend the $...I'm just reaching 100k miles and I just have this nagging feeling my motor is going to blow-up again as soon as I drop the $350...In the meantime, the $5 headliner pins look fabulous.
My D2 vibrates at around 70mph when the tires need rotating (BFG KM1's). They get the sawtooth thingy going on the outer lugs and once they are rotated it gets better...for about 4000 miles...
For what it's worth - I had the same issue the past 2 weeks after having the hoses replaced a month ago. It leaked every now and then, leaving a small puddle under the truck right under the front driveshaft. Sometimes it would leak...sometimes it wouldn't... They replaced the hose and clamp...
UPDATE: Ended up being a coolant leak from the front timing cover gasket and the weep hole in the water pump (they also mentioned a bolt had also been cross-threaded when I got a new engine installed 30k miles ago and it was loose - and contributing to the leaks). She seems leak free now. Bueno.
