Just need a cruise control switch then pop off the button cap with and swap with the fog light cap and wire away

Had a similar issue -- didn't have the grommet and the whole pin / solenoid piece was pushed back into the body. Grabbed a grommet from the JY and poked the pin back through it -- been working fine ever since. I do like the magnet idea though.

The mechanics of the switch are different than the CC but the cover pops right off and can be placed on the CC switch easily.

The cruise control switch is the only latching switch that work for a switch while keeping it an OEM look. You can pop the cover off and grab the cover off the fog light and click it on. Other than that, you can certainly use a dummy switch and modify it to use any switch that yer heart desires.
