He just touched the tips of the tester... one end at the sensor's metal part, another end at the end where the sensor plug into. For sure he didn't check anything on the SLABS.
My mechanic just used his electrical tester to test the abs sensor. Then he verified it works fine. Then he used the OBDII and "wheel speed" read zero when the truck is moving. He has no idea what it means.
Any idea, folks?
Hi DWB, just want to say thank you for leading me to the test of ground. The metal holder of the steering fluid reservoir is not a good one. It does ground but not as perfect as the one Josh (and you) is using. So I spent some time to clean the rust on that bolt and connect to it. The TC and HDC...
1. Your guess is right. I did the fix FIRST because my friend's OBDII tool threw the "Shuttle Valve Electrical Failure" error. After the fix I turned the key and the 3 amigos were still there. That's why I order the ABS Amigo. The result matches the OBDII's....unfortunately.
2. Thanks for the...
Yes, the code is 114 Shuttle Valve Electrical Failure. I just had my ABS Amigo 2 days ago. The amigo is a HARD one. The 3 annoying guys are ALWAYS there, not intermittently.
I also bought the same trailer connector. The only difference is I haven't soldered but just tied up the copper wires...
That's what I am struggling, whether I should buy an ABS sensor (which is highly possible the root cause) or use the same amount of money to get an ABS amigo or spend more to get an hawkeye!
When the truck is started, the ABS light is on FIRST.
Then after 1-2 seconds, the TC and HDC lights go on at the same time. Do the lights usually go on together? Or this sequence is implying something, for example, the problem lies on the sensor rather than the ABS unit?
Many thanks.
