I never understood this mentality. "I don't like something, but I'll continue to read it (meaning I have to actually go to the politics forum to read it) until I get so mad about it that I abandon the forum. And then I tell people why I left a forum" It's not just here, it's human nature...

    Covid19 Seclusion Thread

As long as you maintain a "social distance" there are people out at the trail heads parking for mountain biking. They're closing the facilities at some places. If you do and want to stop by here for a beer let me know.

Outside of Grand Junction. Absolutely love it here. The only thing it’s missing is a Korean restaurant. Front looks at Grand Mesa with 300 lakes and 1 mile behind my place is CO 141 S through the canyons to Naturita here’s a moon rise from the front porch:

To further the theme of this thread: Saturday: rented a plug aerator and aerated the yard. Local hardware store is considered essential so.... Trimmed some bushes before the Spring growth cycle hits and graded more of the driveway (don't have a rear blade so I use the front bucket to do it...

I like how everyone can have a normal fucking conversation about the show, then Scott has to come in with “Trump supporter” bullshit that adds nothing to the conversation at all except to politicize it.

    Covid19 Seclusion Thread

A couple of doctors from Stanford have been questioning the methodology and the media hysteria saying the same thing: You can't base the death rate off just the identified cases because it exponentionally skews the rates much higher. The only way to do it is to base it off all cases (and the...

I've never played any first person or online games, but I did dig out my Atari 2600 and couple boxes of games and have been teaching my wife (born in 1986) how to play. She finds them incredibly difficult and frustrating. My 14 month old knows how to blow in all the cartridges now.

    Covid19 Seclusion Thread

Based on Chris' guidance, this thread is for your serious or humorous or just plain rambling posts on anyone who is now teleworking, or out of work, etc. Not the place to regurgitate news stories, share stuff your grandma shared on twatter, etc. Its just for personal discussions: is it...

Absolutely. I also run a forum for a small group of niche-minded people into 2-stroke bikes. By far the most read and participated groups are the general and politics - they don't want to argue with anyone's grandma over politics, but they love arguing with each other about politics. The shared...

Im in Grand Junction, CO, couple hours from Moab if any Dwebers get out this way and need a garage spot to wrench or fart sack, etc. The Colorado National Monument is worth a paved road drive through for anyone in the area.

    Rockwell F80 Oscillating Tool

It used to be that the sawzall was an invaluable tool in demolition and household products. These oscillating tools have resulted in my sawzall almost never leaving the peg board. I've got the cheaper Rockwell version, with a cord, but it has proved itself over and over. Just recently used it...

Stupid movie reference to a Land Rover

So for some reason I decided to browse for something mind-numbing to watch last night and ended up starting First Kill on Netflix. Apparently it's a Bruce Willis bomb from 2017 (1 star on Rotten Tomatoes). I didn't finish it. Horrible dialogue, bad cinematography, and Bruce Willis seemed like...
