    WTB: Disco 2 Brush/Nudge Bar

I am looking for an A bar/brush bar like this as well for my 04 D2. Don't want anything that requires replacing the OEM bumper. At least one of the parts numbers appears to be STC53179 which I think is NLA. Still have anything Will? Also don't mind refinishing if necessary. Thanks.

Disco rear Ladder install hardware - what is it?

Thanks - I work with/build racing/triathlon bicycles and they are constantly exposed to sweat, salt water and sports drink and also frequently have stainless aluminum and Ti mixed, with carbon composite thrown in for good measure (carbon and aluminum in contact make a great battery) - hence the...

Disco rear Ladder install hardware - what is it?

Here's how I ended up installing the rear door OEM ladder: I used M6 aluminum ribbed rivnuts and 22mm M6 stainless button head bolts. The rivnuts required a 10mm drill (you could also use 1/4-20 rivnuts - very similar in size). I already had a rivnut tool (believe it or not) so I just needed a...

Disco rear Ladder install hardware - what is it?

Thanks - I discovered (!) that the rear outer door skin is aluminum but the inner is steel? At least a magnet indicated that. So top rivnuts are going into steel, bottom ones in Al. SO ideally I guess you would use steel rivnuts up top and Al below to avoid galvanic issues. Like Defenders - I...

Disco rear Ladder install hardware - what is it?

Got my hands on an OEM rear ladder for my new to me 04 D2. No mounting hardware though. I know I need rivnuts and bolts. Does anyone know the size originally used and the type of rivnut? I am guessing M6 bolts? Aluminum (or steel?) rivnuts? Any help much appreciated.

Fair price opinions please: 80k 04 D2 HSE, CA car, spotless undercarriage/motor, no rust anywhere

Thanks all - ended up with a 100k FL-owned 2004 hse I found locally (has been up north for a year with no ill effects) - great condition zero rust. Has had tons of good work done to it, immaculate interior. Last owner a car guy who really did some excellent work on it and replaced most of the...

Fair price opinions please: 80k 04 D2 HSE, CA car, spotless undercarriage/motor, no rust anywhere

Thanks. My thoughts as well but wanted some experts to confirm. Isn't that ebay one being sold by an outfit with questionable integrity (lots of bad reviews)? They are the ones with the "tribute" G4 Discovery for sale. Undercarriage pics look like lots of fresh waxoyl sprayed over rust.

Fair price opinions please: 80k 04 D2 HSE, CA car, spotless undercarriage/motor, no rust anywhere

Looking at an 04 D2 at a specialist dealer, been under it, cleanest I have seen, can't find a spot of rust, no leaks, perfect interior, from california (not where it is now). Dealer has done head gaskets, done the neoprene thing (whatever that is) to prevent the 3 amigos, brake booster, new...

The undercarriage rust doesn't look awful, but there also appears to be a fair bit of waxoyl sprayed on there which is likely covering some up. It's the body/wheel well rust that scares me.

    Fake(?) G4 for sale

Started looking for a possible replacement for my 110 (which I am still driving) that the rest of my family will actually drive. So of course Discos are something I am considering. Ran across this supposed G4 http://www.roverclassic.com/detail.php?item=1251 - I like unusual examples (and orange)...
