My front output seal has started leaking. I have a replacement seal, but a buddy told me that Im better off replacing the whole yoke and seal.
What are your thoughts? Just the seal or do the whole kit?
I took a few inches off all the way across the whole opening. I had to trim the ends off the bumper and sliders as well. There still isnt a whole lot of room at full stuff. The rear still rubs a bit when stuffed.
I like mine. The tires still stick out about a 1/2". With out the flares they would stick out too much for my taste. I cut quite a bit of sheet metal, but that needed to happen to clear the 35s at full flex.
With any 20+yr old vehicle there will always something that needs replacing. Especially anything plastic or rubber.
Ideally look for one that was owned by an enthusiast. Someone who loved it and didnt neglect it. That will give you a huge head start.
Thats the kicker, the more you drive it, the more you will need to do things. They make perfect weekend vehicles, but I wouldn't daily one again. I bought a little hatchback 6speed that gets 30mpg and hasnt needed anything but tires in 5yrs.. Its nice to work on the Rover as money and time allow.
Playing and competing are two different things. I can play basketball, but there is no way I can play competitively.
Just because older people, or obese people play casual rounds of golf, doesn't put them at the same level as someone like Tiger woods.
Call it a hobby, a game, a sport.. it...
Any of you guys ever walk 18 holes with your clubs on your back?? Thats how I started playing when I was kid. Played on the high-school team. Again, carts were not allowed during tournament play. That was not easy!
Carts change the dynamic quite a lot!
that's what I did with my Fox shocks before replacing the factory mount. I drilled out the lower hole and nut and put in a 1/2" grade 8 bolt and nyloc nut. Im running bushings on the top instead of heims. Bottom still has heims, but use metal spacers to center the shock on the mount.
Well if it comes down to it, you could cut off the factory lower shock mounts and weld in a set from Ballistic fab that kick the shock out further from the axle tube.
I ended up ripping one of my factory shock mounts off while wheeling. Replaced it with a shorter mount so that its almost even...
It feels like something is not running as efficiently as it once was. Nothing has failed yet.. just trying to address it before it does.
Back in May I drove it 6hrs to Tennessee and it never ran even close to warm. Wheeled all weekend and drove home again with nothing even close to warm. Two...
I agree those temps are not hot, but they are warmer by 10 degrees to what they were even just a month ago. 197 at 70mph with the windows down and AC off is not right. It normally runs 188-190 all day down the highway. 194-197 would be normal with the AC on, but thats with it off. It gets above...
