    Took off front driveshaft to discover that the front diff may have too much play. I can wiggle her back and forth about 3/4". 'Anyone know how much play is unacceptable? No play at transfer case. Thanks.

    High idle

    Simple quick test for vac leaks: 1. Open hood 2. Start Rover 3. Spray some carb cleaner around top while engine runs 4. If there's a leak, she'll suck it in and her idle will surge.

    Having trouble removing the top main bearings. Crank in place and caps have been removed. Spinning the crank doesn't move them at all. I've been able to push with a stiff plastic the bearing bout a 1/4" but no further. Has anyone tried heating theirs? Or have a suggestion? Thanks.
