    Tail lights not working

See attached, this bit has obviously been overheated. Is it part of the equation I am investigating? Can anyone draw any conclusions from this evidence? Do I need a new MFU?

    Tail lights not working

Is there a way to isolate? If I unplug this, will the truck start?

    Tail lights not working

Waking this discussion up...all fuses are good and removing stereo does not change result. Beeping function - you may have something here. When the engine is off and the lights are on, the algorithm somewhere says "beep to alert the driver". Something could be going wrong when that signal is...

    Tail lights not working

Interesting, I’ve also replaced my ignition switch (the cylinder fell to pieces) since it’s been in the coma (Memorial Day flood in Houston).

    Tail lights not working

Yes, I’ve had an aftermarket pioneer for years but the connection behind the detachable face went bad so I replaced it a year or so ago. I don’t think I’ve had it inspected or legally on the road since. So the issue could have gone unnoticed until now….now that I’m trying to get it inspected!!

    Tail lights not working

Minor update. The fuse blows when I turn the ignition off AND the lights are on. If I turn the lights on and off while the engine is running, no problem. But if I turn the lights on while engine is not running -or- turn the engine off while lights are on, fuse blows. It’s the second fuse from...

    Tail lights not working

Well…everything was fine until I turned the truck off. The second I turned off the ignition, the fuse blew again. Any clues?

20 amp fuse under the hood blown. Never mind, nothing to see here. Sorry for the bother.

    Tail lights not working

Ok, so...my tail lights are not working. Fuses are good. Reverse, blinker and brakes all work. What ghost should I chase next? Dash lights out

    Dash lights out

Interesting, indeed they are not working. Blinkers and brake lights work, but not tail lights.

    Dash lights out

Both side blinkers work. Is there a way to short the rheostat to confirm if it is the issue? I have connected the wires on the plug and no luck.

    Dash lights out

All my dash lights are not working. I’ve checked fuses, and all seem good. What should I check next?

    Fuel pump wiring

I tried searching but didn't find anything useful. On my fuel pump, there are two plugs, one with 4 wires and one with 2. Is the 2-wire connector the power source? According to the attached wiring diagram, I am guessing yes - but I don't see any indication of the 4-wire connector - so I am...

    Continued fuel pump problems...

A continuation from this prior discussion... https://discoweb.org/index.php?threads/bent-rods-on-intake-valves.99548/ When I first installed the new fuel pump, everything fuel pump related worked. Then fairly early on the fuel level gauge quit working. After getting all the rods back and the...

    D1 in a shipping container?

Can anyone show me a picture of a D1 in a shipping container? Google is useless, only find new Jeeps. I'm considering buying one for "weather tight" storage at the farm but my tape measure laid in front of the truck looks more generous than images online (...of different vehicles).
