    D2 death wobble

Well this weekend I got my TMR customs alignment plates. Jacked up the truck and found significant movement in the drivers side upper ball joint. (Same corner I broke the axle on). All other ball joints are good. I replaced them all from the original factory ones 2yrs ago. Not sure if its...

    Best headliner material?

Another vote for paint. I had the factory headliner color matched at Lowes and I think it came out great. Touch ups are easy if it gets dirty

    D2 death wobble

Yeah I plan on doing/checking alignment. Was going to get tires balanced and rotated to see what that does. Replaced tre's and it helped some.

    D2 death wobble

Haven't checked it. Id be more inclined to think its the hub I swapped since there was no vibration right before I parked it.

    D2 death wobble

I put a pry bar on the panhard and zero movement. Will check the steering box when the truck cools down.

    D2 death wobble

4" lift 35's and everything needed to make it work. Lift has been on for years. Truck has always driven perfectly even at 75mph. Broke drivers side cv in April. Truck sat for a few months before I fixed it. I couldn't get the hub off the axle so aI just replaced the hub and axle assembly with...

    Lt230 front output bearing replacement

Mine has some excessive play and I plan on replacing it. Anything I need to be aware of? Tips, tricks? I tried looking up some videos, but didn't see anything specific. Thanks!

These guys mostly just do mud. Although I have them run some timed course events. Those are pretty cool.

    Death wobble

Yeah makes sense. The brakes are a 4-5yrs old? Its the only thing on the whole front end that hasnt been recently replaced.

    Death wobble

I had a terrafirma in there that had been there about 6-7yrs with the orange polybush. The only reason I replaced it was I couldn't get it to adjust. The new TF came with red polybush. Honestly they both looked fine to me.

    Death wobble

Update: Wobble is back. Its so strange. It only happens between 50mph and 60mph. but sometimes I can do 52 no problem then all of sudden the wheel just starts shaking side to side... I will say any brake input while in that speed range will make it 10x worse. Would a warped brake rotor cause...

Any of you guys do this?

They arent a bad looking vehicle. If built correctly they are pretty badass. The problem is very few are actually built correctly. Most have been hacked by high school kids or rednecks.

Any of you guys do this?

1 Rover is more than enough for me! It already takes up most of my free time. Cant imagine having 2 other trucks that always need something! As for the Cherokee. Great engine, shitty axles and no "frame".

Is anyone making good bumpers anymore?

That doesnt look horrible. Only issue I see is how high the winch sits and how much of the air flow to the grill is blocked

    Death wobble

Finally got around to messing with the steering box. What a difference!!! Not only is the wobble gone, but now overall the truck feels way more solid. I wish I had adjusted it a while ago!

    2020 Defender

This is me. The D2 for me is a hobby. I enjoy wrenching on it and then taking it wheeling. That said, I drive a Hyundai daily that hasnt needed anything done in 4yrs except tires and oil change. I never understood the appeal of daily driving a Rover.

Is anyone making good bumpers anymore?

He never actually made them himself. A fab shop does all the work. I picked up my bumper from that shop. It was badass, they had all kinds of custom race/street cars in there.
