    Reverse lights product review.

Yeah that doesn't sound right. I must have misread something. The thing is I just don't fucking care right now. The reverse lights are more than adequate for my needs and I also bought some of their interior light and they made a huge difference also. Like I can actually see what I'm doing in my...

    Oil Leak After Change ( 2016 LR4)

I know this may seem odd to you, as someone who seems to look at this site as an opportunity to make fun of, call names, and belittle other posters, but I see it as a chance to maybe help others.

    Oil Leak After Change ( 2016 LR4)

This is a grey area. I can't see the truck and I don't know LR. I do know it takes a certain amount of time for oil to leak to the point it takes out an alternator. So it comes down to the dealerships estimation of how long it's been leaking. If they say a week it's on you. If they say at least...

    Oil Leak After Change ( 2016 LR4)

You've left me little wiggle room here. How do I argue with a man that has a lifetime of experience on the subject. On the other hand this idiot made a dealer, who really didn't want to, replace an engine in his truck without getting lawyers involved. Or even threatening to.

    Oil Leak After Change ( 2016 LR4)

Me, I'd ask the LR dealer what "a while" means. If they say a few weeks then my bad luck. If they say a few months, then like I responded to blue, either they knew it and passed their problem on to you, or they do a shitty job of inspecting their vehicles. Given the kind of dealer they are I...

    Oil Leak After Change ( 2016 LR4)

If the dealership says it's been leaking for a while then either no or they do a piss poor job of inspecting their vehicles.

    Reverse lights product review.

To be clear the fogs don't have the mini fan, that's why they say not to run them for long intervals. That was a typo, sorry. Their Hi/lO beams have the fan, which would be in the base of the bulb on the outside of the lens.

I looked at their low beam replacement. They use a mini fan to dissipate heat. One would assume these lack that as reverse lights aren't meant to be a continuous use application.

    Oil Leak After Change ( 2016 LR4)

Does not matter the dealership. It comes down to one of two things. Did they know about the issue, clean it up and sell it to you, or did it start after you brought it home. I assume no 30/60/90 day warranty?

    Oil Leak After Change ( 2016 LR4)

Never hurts to call. Be firm but professional. I got a dealership to replace an engine in my Colorado years ago. They tried to talk me into buying a warranty, waiting for a while, then claiming the engine. I refused. Told them not to include me in this, it was between them and the person that...

    Reverse lights product review.

Don't do this often but in this case I think some here might find this useful. I just bought a 2023 Tacoma and one of the mods I did was to convert the reverse lights to led. Looking around I came upon Velds. They are a little more pricey than most other options I found but in this case you get...

    New tires on my LR4

I said slicks on rock, wide with lugs and paddles for sand/mud with little to no bottom were extremes, every thing in between is a compromise. So you threw in wet rock, so now we start compromising. Blue said he ran mostly sand, gravel, and rock. Finding a tire that does well in sand and on rock...

    New tires on my LR4

What could you compare rock too, asphalt? What do most nascar tracks use for a surface? What is the tread on nascar tires?

    New tires on my LR4

Firm. If I had a rig for rock crawling that I transported to the site on a trailer I'd choose a narrower slick (without tread) tire. If it's sand dunes or mud with no bottom wide with paddles/lugs. Those are extremes. Everything in between is a matter of compromise. IMO if you are on more firm...

    New tires on my LR4

A narrower tire will provide better traction in a lot of circumstances, especially on hard terrain. Think about it, a wide tire divides your vehicles weight over a wider area, giving it less pounds per sq inch, which equals less traction. And you may not think so, but it really does make a...

Leaving work the other day I found myself across an intersection from one of these. Now keeping in mind it was next to a tri-axel, and I had a short amount of time to look at it because, well, traffic, I could have the wrong impression. That said, I have a question, where does this go, and how...
