The wiring to it gets brittle from the heat. Check it and reroute it when you get home from your trip.

Blue, opening any door causes the ECUs to boot up, so doing it multiple times will drain a tired battery. If I know I'll be doing it a bunch, I just leave one open so it only boots up that one time. The tailgate does not cause everything to boot up, so that isn't a problem. I also turn off the...
