Talk me out of buying an LR4

I'm pretty aggressive, but my wife drove it more than me. Highway is usually about 80, and I liked the torqyness of the engine so I had a pretty heavy foot with it.

Talk me out of buying an LR4

I'm gonna have to shoot from the hip on this one as I threw out all the documents on her. Most of the issues were from the electronics to include the oil level sensor going out once, and then telling me it was critically low an then overfilled.... I think we had a turbo replaced too.

Talk me out of buying an LR4

The D5 was great, but it started to have issues we didnt want to deal with. Primarily I cant see owning a rover past 2013 without a warranty. Ours was about to expire in 20K, we bought an extended warranty, and then the windshield started to leak again. We figured it was a good time to get rid...

    Looking for an 04D2

After trying to decide between an LR4, a GX, LX, LC, D1, and D2 to replace my RRSC once it gets totaled out I think we have decided on another 04D2. My wife and I both loved our last 04D2 (had it almost 13 years), so I think we are going back to one. (an 03 might work too) Want something with...

    VIN check

Is there any way to check a VIN to see what service and maintenance has been done to a vehicle? Looking at another RRSC or LR4 and want to make sure the timing chains and other known issues have been taken care of. Thanks,

Talk me out of buying an LR4

I have the same problem, my kiddos and wife are super sad about the idea of loosing "Riley the Rascal", we just got rid of "Lilly", our D5. I lost my 04D2 to an accident about 1.5 years ago. LR's are in my blood, like it or not.....

Talk me out of buying an LR4

Looking at the possibility of replacing my RRSC (assuming it gets totaled out) with a 10 - 12 LR4. Criteria is that the timing chains have been done semi-recently. What else should I look into? I know the usual issues with lower control arm bushings. Thanks

Looking for advice IRT damage from a wreck.

I got t-boned today on my way to work. The other vehicle hit me right on the passengers side wheel, and proceeded to scrape down the entire passenger side. I'm not too worried about the cosmetic damage, I am more worried about what kind of damage may have been done to the front...

Valve cover gasket replacement on 2010 SC parts list

The valve cover gaskets are leaking, enough that it's becoming a PITA. Rock Auto has Bosch injectors for about $80 a piece so although not cheap, I think its better I do it while everything is apart.

Valve cover gasket replacement on 2010 SC parts list

I'm getting ready to do the valve cover gaskets on my 10 SC and I am looking to get as comprehensive a list of parts as possible so hopefully I can have everything I need (minus something I break in the process) readily available. Right now this is what I am looking at: Valve cover gasket set...

    Disco 5 diesel info

We are seriously considering buying a diesel disco and want to find out some info from someone who has experience with them. Looking at the DEF requirement, namely how much of a pain in the ass is it to keep it topped up, and can you fill it yourself or do you have to take it to the dealer to...

    Steering wobble

I had a pair that warped earlier and received a warranty replacement, which happens to be the current issue. I had the old ones turned and put on new pads. Wobble gone. I will run these until they warp and then have the other set turned and put on. One thing I noticed is that the brakes were...
