so im planning on doing head gaskets,going to check heads and see if the need done and if so that too.. ill be doing water pump, timing chain,new seals for both, spark plugs,new hoses and thermostat. ive thought about doing lifters and cam . since im doing time chain ill be dropping the oil pan...
im thinking im just going to go ahead and break down do the heads and front seal.. prob should just do timing and water pump as well at this rate.. any advice on best parts or anything else that recommended at this point
always had a little coolant leak at rear of motor. always checked coolant level everyday before starting.. well today i check it. it seems lower than normal.. i fill, drive to appointment and then on way home temp light comes on.. so i pull over let sit a few minutes, reservoir is empty...
I'm planning on replacing front two o2 sensors as well.. When the hose blew it soaked the entire passenger side front o2 sensor. I was pulling that code initially but not now.. It's been a couple years since they were replaced anyhow
Well that didn't help but I'm still waiting on a new maf.. Cleared codes after plug and wires were changed.. I'm down to 3 codes.. 1509 and 1884, plus the one for mas air flow sensor.. Atleast I'm not pulling the codes for the plugs now
No steam cleaning here.. Just a bunch of crappy plugs.. Hopefully we are looking at this being the main problem.. Also looks like hose from expansion tank to throttle body heater plate is leaking a bit at both ends.. I'm going to pray that's where the anti freeze has been going..
Drive shaft is a tom woods.. I actually just greased it about two weeks ago..
Plugs and wires prob need replaced.. It's been awhile since I changed them last..
As for coolant I typically have to top it off about once a week..

ok 1999 disco 2 4.0 bosch... put new timing cover on.. took rad out and now everything is back in except i cant remember which oil lines on driver side of rad go where... there are two connections one above the other... help me please.. im a little freaked about hooking something up...
ok so my D2 starts and idles fine.. but when i step on accelerator it sticks at the position in push it too... i can take my toe and pull it back up and acceleration decreases back to idle... any help.. i have searched and not much on subject... if i get under bonnet and manual operate...
