    Axle weight?

Does anyone know, or have a fully intact axle housing they could weigh? I'd rather not pull mine from the truck to get the total weight. I'm trying to determine the un-sprung weight of my buggy so I can buy the coils for my coil overs.

    Rockware chassis for possible trade/sale

I wanted a buggy so I bought one, or close to it if you will. I have for trade/sale a Rockware tube chassis for a D1 or RRC. When I bought it I was number 5. So you'll be getting "Johnny #5" think Short Circuit circa 1986. The chassis (as bought from Rockware) will includes the aluminum...

Kickdown cable replacement, My current Hell

Pretty certain if Dante had dealt with replacing one, he'd have certainly added another level of Hell. Anyone familiar w/a good procedure. PT swears it can be done w/out removing the valve body. I got the old one out that way, but I just can't get that little barrel seated. After more than an...

Rear Cones and dropped rear shock mounts

I bought both of the items roughly 2 years ago, sadly they only have about 10 rides. The cones are the fancy dancy Terrafirma ones w/the hook on the end. To capture the spring under extreme situations I guess. My buggy never made use of that feature, but decided to show it's disgust w/the cones...

Thermostat or no thermostat, that's my question

'97 D1 This is a trail truck only, see my avatar if needed, but I'm experiencing higher (than I'd like) coolant temps. We have discussed deleting the thermostat all together to alow the coolant to flow un-impeeded. Normal temps are 190* but after a bit of trail use I'm seeing 210-220*. I'm...

As a card carrying member of the Cheap Fucks Society of Dweb'ers (that has to be MF original) I was looking for methods to test my torque wrench. I found a few companies that can perform this test for some unknown price, AND then I found this little Nugget...

    Tire Siping 101

First rule, Make sure you have the blade facing the right way. Currently cutting my Swampers. I broke the first blade, replaced it while HOT - OUCH, only to discover I had the replacement blade on backwards. Off w/it and loaded another while the gun was still HOT. OUCH OUCH!

    Outside air tmp

Is it written somewhere that I've missed; does the 4.0 have an optimum outside air temp? I currently do not have an air box or the air temp sensor. I'd like to rectify that situation. Not with a either of the aforementioned parts, but through the power Science.. ;)
