I'm pulling the transmission from a D1 to use on a project. Do I need to remove the shifter from the console before dropping the trans or can I just drop it all at once? The shifter is going to be reused so I don't want to damage it when removing the transmission.

Do you need to drop the oil pan to remove the bolts to the torque converter? I’m trying to pull the engine but having issues reaching the bolts to the converter.
