    2020 Defender

Ewww. That must be photo-shopped. What is up with the man's face on the display? Also the "STOP" and "GO" on the pedals?

    2020 Defender

I drove a 2018 Nissan Armada for a week and I had to admit it reminded me of my DI more than anything else has recently. More luxurious and lower ground clearance, but the tall roofline and heavy/torque-y feel were very comforting. I know they are based on the Patrol but have no idea how they...

    2020 Defender

I'm hoping lockers will be an option. We all know wheel/tire size and suspension can be modified. I agree with you to a point, but my 1995 DI was originally purchased by a businessman in Atlanta for a luxury SUV price at that time. Even Defenders in 1997 weren't all scooped up by off-road...

    2020 Defender

My optimism lies in the body shape, rear-mounted spare tire, and nods to previous generations in alpine windows and a floating roof line. I am guessing modifications will come soon enough for the air suspension and tire size like have evolved for the LR3/4. The new Jeeps still seem to be the...

    Jeep Gladiator Pickup

It was so fun --with only two seats inside and a lockable center console with no padding on top (because that is where I got to sit when we rode around in the fields). Still had the high-beam switch on the floor. Ours had a padded grab bar which was an extra option. Hardtop was removable...

    Jeep Gladiator Pickup

My dad bought one of these new in 1981 and it was our first “off roader” for our farm. I am surprised Jeep didn’t also offer the two door version. https://goo.gl/images/5Vywus

    Jeep Gladiator Pickup

It's going to sell like crazy. Even though it will probably be $50K. I can't believe how many new Jeeps are on the road and how much they hold their value. Meanwhile: http://europe.autonews.com/article/20181127/COPY/311309994/return-of-the-land-rover-defender

1995 D1 Gold 3.9 108K ARB RTE Bilstein HELLA, Las Vegas NV

Nice truck. I've still got my 95 DI (Roman Bronze)--3.9 engines may be my favorite. Good luck with the sale!

Disco 5: Let the depression set in

Your posts about this truck are giving me hope. :)

    Long term ownership 04D2 (insurance)

We just carry liability on the older trucks. They are worth so little based on property tax, etc. If it gets wrecked I'll buy it with the cash I save not paying full coverage every month to fix, depending on the severity. I've had my DI for 15.5 years and we've had the RRC for 13. :) EDIT...

    A simple DWEB Observation...

Discoweb is like that one college memory that keeps popping up in your subconscious. I lurk occasionally. Recognize a lot of the names. Drive a Honda daily but still run the DI around for errands. Can't bear to sell or part any of the three we own.

    Cool and Vintage...

Made in Portugal. Yet their TShirts are made in the USA! :)

I agree. I like most all of them and I think they are tastefully finished.

    Cool and Vintage...

Have you guys seen these "builds"? I have to admit I like the "heritage" trim ...and I'd rather see this than some of the "modded" trucks out there. https://www.coolnvintage.com/builds/ Possibly my favorite:

Disco 5: Let the depression set in

That big ass is the part I like least-but I like the interior refinement and love the diesel option. I will eventually want something I can tow a small horse trailer with...and the new Expeditions will have the tow rating that beats the Discovery. But I'll always love Land Rover no matter what...

Disco 5: Let the depression set in

It has taken years for the LR3/4 to grow on me and the new one seems so weird and spaceship-like...but it also seems like a nice consideration for a replacement for my Honda Pilot in a few years. Nice to see some real photos--I haven't seen one in person yet. Did you get the third row package...

    1995 Discovery Part Out

Was this truck crushed? I would have loved to get the hood off it since it was the same color as my 95!
