Have you pulled the line from the purge valve to the intake and checked to see if it is clogged. It can get carbon built up in it and cause no flow.

Clean the surfaces of any residue. Remove the rear cover off the housing and use JB weld epoxy. Dont put the cover on for a day so the epoxy has good time to set and when you put the cover on dont tighten it or it will put tension on the housing.

I used a sawzall and cut the assembly through the bolts before. I have also stuck the ball joint under the 20ton press and still had to use the oxy acetaline torch to get her to start moving. They can be really stuck in there.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Note that if you replaced Just the sensor and not the hub the air gap between the sensor and the reluctor could be incorrect. I always replace the sensor with the hub. Doing the shuttle valve repair should have nothing to do with wheel speed sensor signal...
