    Oil cooler line

i was able to fix mine by picking out the 2 o-rings and replacing them with a set of hbnr o-rings available at harbor freight. mine were leaking right where they plug into the cooler. hope that's your case because the lines themselves are no longer available

    2000 D2, radio fawked?

i drive a 2000 D2 too and the same symptoms happened to me. I've been living with a water leak when it rains that sometimes dripped on the center console. I figured maybe the 10 amp fuse behind the stereo was blown but it was fine. I popped in a used unit and music is back, so i flung the old...

    Stereo in D2 dead

I just swapped out a used stereo unit in my 2000 D2 and all was good. Recently, i broke a pulley which threw the belt and had to drive it about a quarter mile to park it before it overheated. i shut the ac unit off and the radio as well and hitched a ride to work. I went back with a new pulley...

20004 D2 ABS pump leak and other issues

i'd roll with a used module. as you know, new ones are overly expensive. if they leak, they need to be replaced

    8 codes-Lambda-cycles

is it actually physically misfiring? also, i hoped you didn't use dielectric grease on the o2 connectors. i'd check for a vacuum leak somewhere. if all else fails, a compression test may tell another story (hopefully not). it seems to be contained on the left bank so you should able to center...

2000 D2, Soft Brakes, No Leaks

you need a proper high dollar scan tool to properly bleed em. OR, my bud rigged a push button jumper wire for the abs relay to where you can (with a helper) crack open the bleed valve while he activates the abs solenoids with the home made jumper wire. it works great. i need to do it to my disco...

    Purge Valve

i would not use it in oil. glad you god your misfire whipped. i have one that comes and goes. usually when we have drastic temp. changes. of course you know how moody they can be. An engine lubrication system cleaning...i would use some trans fluid, or even dr. marvel's mystery oil, to top off...

    Purge Valve

i know from experience the p0440 is 99% of the time the purge valve. i'm aware of the hyndai trick, but i always stick with oem stuff. when it happened to me, i changed it and the thermostat and my gas mileage almost doubled. now, under 10,000 miles ago, i had the heads rebuilt, new plugs, etc...

Oil cooler line leak-fixable or replace?

just a quick note: the o-ring replacement seems to work. the oil drip must have been residual oil because the leak was pretty bad. the o-rings were the hbnr type readily available at your local harbor freight store in a nice assortment. i've been keeping a close eye on the oil level, and noticed...

Oil cooler line leak-fixable or replace?

well, i popped off the oil return line and replaced the 2 o-rings inside. taking the battery out and the battery box made this chore easier. snapped it back together only to find that the metal to rubber crimp/coupling is leaking too, so a replacement is in order (crap!). the search begins.

Oil cooler line leak-fixable or replace?

i had to run to the local Land Rover dealership for a part and while i was there, i had the parts guy look up the hoses. they are no longer available. So i'm gonna hunt for some or find a suitable replacement in case trying to fix them doesn't work. damn!

Oil cooler line leak-fixable or replace?

thanks much luckyjoe! i'm gonna try the o-ring replacement. today would be a good day since it's warm outside, but everything is closed for xmas and my o-ring assortment is locked in my toolbox at the shop. another day i suppose. i'm just trying to cheaply fix this disco in any way i can, but...
