I don’t know why but the Brits over here love the orange DexCool for their engines.
I drained all of mine and added 50/50 Zerex G04 coolant to my Thor petrol engine.
You will need to solder in a 50Watt 6ohm resister to the left and right indicators ( turn signals) to stop the hyperflash strobelight effect of the LED bulbs. That’s what I had to do...
From my Disco 2 parts cheat sheet…
MAF sensors:
4.0L: Bosch part # 0 280 217 532; LR: #ERR 7171
4.6L including P38 RR: Bosch part # 0 280 218 010; LR: #MHK 100800
Sensor only no housing (VW) DELPHI #AF10383
Honestly, you’d want sealed intake air throughout.
I forgot to mention you can also try cleaning the MAF sensor with MAF sensor cleaner spray. Some use brake cleaner on it, and some use MAF cleaner spray.
Make sure the connector to the MAF is properly seated and seal up the cracked air filter housing.
If that doesn’t fix it, take out a loan and buy the Bosch MAF.
For a D2 V8 operation (any engine really) you need a good combination of coolant, water pump, thermostat, radiator, fan, fan clutch and monitoring the temps with a real temp gauge.
