From what I’ve read in the ETM, the a/c clutch relay has power as soon as the key is turned on. Then when the a/c and fan switches are on, the ecm sends ground to that relay. Seems like maybe i could just add a switch to ground the relay. That would make turning on the a/c a three switch operation.

If it were that simple, that would be great. From what I’ve read, the ecm provides the ground for the a/c clutch circuit. Thanks Ian

One more thing, when we do this on a Scout, we have to pull the grill and radiator support off. Once the radiator is out, I should have enough room to clear just the motor and trans? Ian

I'm pulling the whole drivetrain. So, dropping the LT230 will make it possible with just a normal engine hoist? Just hoping I'm not gonna need more headroom than what the hoist will give me. Thanks for the tip. Ian
