3.9 high idle and possible vacuum leak?

Ok thanks. Truck came from SLC so you’d think that was important but I guess isn’t the cause of my high idle. Would you have a picture you could send of where it should connect? I don’t see any signs of leaking coolant…

3.9 high idle and possible vacuum leak?

Newly acquired 89 RRC 3.9 with new heads, hoses, etc. Hard to start when cold and idles very high ~1800 rpm whether engine is hot or cold. Doing some research it sounds like timing could be off, vacuum leak or temp sensor. Looking around engine bay tho I found this piece under the plenum...

    LR3 Fatigue

Just my .02, those issues you refer to seem pretty minor. A solid weekend could knock all those out may be aside from the parking brake issue. Consider taking care of those little things and you’ll have a solid, paid off very comfortable and capable truck that’s hard to compete with. I have...

    2020 LRNA Dealer Trek Series

It's pretty stupid to expect a business to opt into something they have no idea what the cost will be. What do they expect? That's a real bummer.

    2020 LRNA Dealer Trek Series

Invoice of the TReK Disco is $72,693. Lucky 8 accessories $10,998. Not sure if they’re lying to you or if you had to opt in before they gave the invoice amount but it was plainly stated in the email. All white trucks with black packages. No word yet if they’ll be TDi’s or Petrol. And you’re...

    2020 LRNA Dealer Trek Series

Qualifiers are in the Discovery which Lucky 8 is helping outfit. The final event in January will be in defenders and probably good assumption Lucky 8 will be doing those as well.

    2020 Defender

The CEO of LR himself talked about how "refined" the new Defender is. That's all you need to know about their intentions for this new design. It isn't really meant to compete head to head with the Jeep Wrangler. It's only meant to hold the spirit of what the original Series/Defender was all...

I've been following this discussion but may have missed this reference earlier so apologies in advance... Has anyone reached out to Ben at Retro Rovers? He's got an excellent pedigree racing and building diesel and petrol Rovers, Bowlers and buggies. http://www.retro-rovers.com/#about

    2020 LRNA Dealer Trek Series

Came through via email to the managers yesterday. Most of them had no idea what it even was. From the sound of it, it will be about an $85k investment on the part of each dealership which will include buying the vehicle and outfitting it.

My ride for the weekend - Trek Series D2

That’s what I’ve been told but I think you are correct, they are referring to the re-intro of the Range Rover in the US market. Not sure if LR had dealers in the US in the 60/70’s?
