Hello - im trying to track down a "B1C59-14 (2F) Electric door window glass relay output circuit - General electrical failure - circuit short to ground or open" fault to fix my rear windows not working.
The previous owner mentioned they were finicky, and they are, but now they wont work at all...
Welp, while i take my time to get my 97 Discovery back into working order, ive decided to take a look at some LR3s.
There are a lot of examples of them up in the PNW and its kind of hard finding ones that a good ration of not trashed/price.
What im finding mostly are:
super high mileage...
Has anyone successfully removed the crankshaft while the engine is in the truck?
I unfortunately don’t have a garage to work in and I just pulled the main bearing caps and it’s not pretty.
Was chasing down low oil pressure and this seems to be the final boss and it’s kicking my ass.
waiting...
Looking for timing cover to see if it helps with oil pressure. I dont have great oil pressure now, replaced the big end rod bearings, camshaft/lifters/rockers. Oil pump was new 15k miles ago but will replace as well jic. Want to get a new timing cover to see if the oil pump works better.
Finishing up doing work on the truck before winter hits and i cant work outside on it. (I live in an apt and do all my work on the street unfortunately).
This round of work is trying to tackle a low end idle knock once warmed up. I have the bearings on hand and new connecting rod bolts...
Welp, time for some maintenance. This time its the valve train/lifters/pushrods/.camshaft.
I have everything out except the camshaft which I was hoping i wouldnt have to given the extra stuff I have to pull off in front.
Here is a photo of the current camshaft, i have a new one on hand...
How the F do you remove them? I’ve not had to work with these before. My intuition says to squeeze them to somehow unclip them but nothing works. I can cut them off with a dremel but I’d rather learn.
whats the best way to remove?
