Got a leak in the power steering line that goes from the pump to the steering box...which goes under the front of the car.
How much of a PITA is this to replace. Looks like the ace and ac have to come out.. does the radiator and/or condensor need to be moved/removed?

Is there a donut or other gasket that seals them at the flange? I didn't see a part in the RN or AB catalog
I am replacing the exhaust this week, was wondering what the best practice is to seal the exhaust at that flange
After a drive in my 00D2...parked it.. a few minutes later.. I heard this ping noise followed by some rattling and then a thud as the bolt head hit the ground! An exhaust manifold bolt head decided to decapitate itself!
Assuming the manifold is OK (I have no reason to believe it is...
I noticed the other day the pass side rear of the truck was down all the way.
I started the car and it reinflated and stayed inflated for a few days...then it was flat again (same side)
Would this be an indication of a bad air bag..or something else (leak in a line, etc)

Few weeks ago the transmission started making a noise - chirping/squeeking.
It is similar to this thread http://www.discoweb.org/forums/showthread.php?t=26558 but mine is a D2. Not sure if it makes a difference.
The noise is ONLY when the car is in gear. If I am driving..i hear the noise...
A while back had an issue with a bad Flexplate(orig post here).
It just failed again! I assume it is the flexplate. Just towed to the shop. Just stopped running. sounded like a tin can rolling around in the bell housing.
I do pull a boat (3500# or so) somewhat frequently and for long...
I looked in RAVE, but could not figure out how to replace the bulb(s) for the climate control backlight buttons on our 00 DII.
Any tips or tricks? The buttons that are out are the power, defog, auto,etc on the bottom row (big buttons)
Finally got around to fixing the wiper motor. The wipers would not work well on intermittant and low, so I replaced the motor. Pretty easy job (got the original motor with the wheelhouse).
Now the problem is getting the outside a-pillar trim back on! Is there any trick or tip to get it on. It...
Having trouble shifting into low gear on our 00 DII.
I did a search here, and said the solenoild may be bad, or connections or something (all seemed to require surgery to get to). Apparently the xfer case does not know when the truck is in 'N' I guess.
Is there any somewhat easy workaround...
Just saw a good size puddle of coolant under the rover today. I couldn't see where the leak was coming from. Jacked it up (with stands) and got under and the water pump was not leaking, at least at the weep hole. I just changed all the hoses on the truck. It is not leaking at the hoses as far...
Got a fairly serious failure, on the (so far) relatively trouble free 00 DII.
When you start the motor, it sounds like rocks rolling around in a dryer under the truck, the truck barely will move forward or reverse...
My guess would be the transmission...any other educated guesses? If it is...
The rear caliper started leaking pretty bad on our 2000 DII. The brake pads have been gone for a while...backing plates eating into the rotor (have new rotors and pads to install)
Now the pedal goes to the floor and there is a puddle of brake fluid by the right rear wheel (offending brake)...
