Little update. This was after 24 hours or so. Seems to be a very little here that accumulated and a little seep between the 2 bolts that hold the pan to the bell housing. Ran it for about an hour and this is all I got.
it had maybe an ounce of oil that was on the cover when I pulled it and it looked clean on the inside. Those 2 bolts just hold the pan to the bell housing. Putting a washer on it will lead to less threads in the pan. nothing seals there.
Removed the transmission plate and the 2 rubber plugs nothing exciting. Haven’t pulled the long bolts to check. Cleaning everything up so I can see if it showed up
That oil has less than 300 miles on it. Since November I replaced the front cover, oil pump, front seal twice, timing chain added a sleeve to crank shaft and oil pan gasket twice once with and once without RTV. I went up to 20/50 oil to try and silence a mystery knock. It leaked as soon as I...
I think the pan is good an I think the gasket is good. Guessing since its leaking from the same area and 2 different gaskets one with RTV and one with Out that I'm looking at something else.
Maybe the Crucifix?
Those 2 are the longer bolts for the oil pan they are in the correct place. I don’t think they seal anything since the gasket is on top. It’s just flat. It’s just a flat surface.
Prior to replacing oil pan gasket very minimal leaking from that area. Replaced it started leaking at the back of the pan where the long bolts pass thru. Put it in with no rtv. Replaced the gasket used rtv still leaking at the same place. It seems to be a pretty decent little leak defiantly...
I'd pull the carpet and that big foam pad gets soaks and doesn't dry. I pulled mine out of my 95 and had a lot of rust. i'm currently chasing the leak in the passenger foot well too.
Ends were replaced ball joints look good,
No Shops close, I don't even have a shop in town that does alignments. I've got a mechanic friend that I'm going to get to help out. He's done alignments and knows what he's doing.
Check timing. I changed plugs and wires on mine and it wouldn't start. Replaced fuel pump, the ignition module or what ever that round thing is and another sensor by the radiator and still nothing. Checked timing and it was off. set and advanced the plug and fired right up. A month later it...
This was the first alignment its had and was fine. It pisses me off when these guys try to blow smoke up my ass over these trucks. I've got 2 so I almost know what I'm talking about.
The steering box has never been touched. Other than a sway bar end that's been broken for 15 years, didn't...
I replaced the track rod and drag link bar on my 03. Had it lined up and afterward the wheel had a lot of pay and wasn't centered and the print out had a lot of red on it. it was all over the road. Finally took it back after 1,000 miles told them the issues and the wheel was off center. They put...
