So I have a driveline vibration issue that has had the following done -

New front driveshaft - cured some
New rear rotoflex, bushing, u-joint

Its not tires - vibration can be felt in the floor not steering wheel

Comes at high speeds 55 - 75. I can find spots where its all smooth like 72-73, 82 etc.

When replacing the rear rotoflex and centering bushing I noticed the output shaft from the rear differential where the centering bushing sits on is worn, scored...not sure what that is called? But is that part is worn my guess is the centering bushing is not doing a whole lot. Does anyone have a part number or what the replacement part is? That is about the only part of the driveline that has not been replace and I am at 300k.

Also what is involved in replacing that - do I have to replace the whole axle? I cant find a parts diagram with that specific part.

Any help appreciated - thanks.

So this is mostly a road going truck - most off road is light to moderate. I had read that the U-joint conversion is for hard core off-roading for strength the and the roto-flex help absorb vibes and noise...

Not sure a conversion is the answer but I can learn...?

If your running 3" or more lift, you'd likely need to look at a conventional double cardan rear drive shaft. I chased a vibration down and found it to be coming from the rear. Going from a rotoflex to the conventional two joint driveshaft from a D1 helped some, but the double cardan is the fix

I had a similar vibration felt through the floor at similar speeds, and it ended up being a rear wheel bearing.

My '99 D2 has an irritating rattle/vibration on the gear stick that goes away if I rest my hand on the stick while driving.

I replaced the engine mountings made it a LOT better, but it's still there. It's around 60-80 kph that it's worst, effectively town and access road speeds. The engine mounts were really shot, to the point that the ID numbers of the rubber had been etched onto the bottom of the engine supports!

Going to look at the tranny mountings next, but getting stumped as to what it could be.
Cardans look good, donut ring is OK, too.
