01 Disco- Front Windows Stuck Down

I have a 2001 disco with 156,000. It is no longer my daily driver, and when I got in it the other day, I rolled the windows down and the front driver and passenger side would not go back up. Both front the windows were stuck down, the up action on the switches were not engaging the regulator. This was happening on both sides. The regulator would still engage and try to go down even though the window was already down you could hear it trying to work.

I turned the vehicle off locked it with the key, unlocked it with the key, and when I turned it back on in the passenger window went up automatically without me touching anything. However, the driver side would not. I took the switches off the panels switch the passenger with the driver window switch, and the driver would still not go up. I disconnected the battery, Reconnected it, and when I started the truck again, the driver side went up automatically just as the passenger side did without me touching anything. Almost like the signal was delayed somewhere. Once they were both up, I disconnected both switches for the front two windows. During this time the rear windows worked fine every time.

The fuses look good. The battery was on a trickle charger the whole time it was not driven over the last couple months, and it’s also new.

I’m no electrician, so I’m not sure where to start. Any advice on where to look?

I haven't had that issue on Land Rovers, but on both my Dakota and my wife's Mustang, the problem was the drivers side switch. On those 2 vehicles at least, the power for the passenger side goes through the drivers switch.

I did want to move the rear switches to the front switches, however they are a different connector And do not connect. Is it a possibility that both front switches went bad at the same time?

Sorry, i forgot that D2 has diffrent connectors. D1's are easy with this as 4 switches are the same.
Both switches is less probability but both motors may be... there is a connector to test if 12v are coming to door without to dismantle it. You may take these triangular shape panels near drivers or passenger foot and there is it, a connector in a hole, just before door electrical hose.
Motors are not waterproof an thri start to fail. If you check 12v there it is shure motor is failing
