Can someone tell me how this quote makes any sense?

I know rust is serious in NY but, is it so bad that aluminum rusts up there?

I know it's a bit of an alloy but, it shouldn't be that bad.

The cylinder linings are steel. Heads were off so the bores rusted.

I wouldn't be concerned about the rust but rather if it was a head gasket or slipped liner.

ArmyRover - thank you for posting this here.

I am the seller of the G4. Had a LOT of interest in it and received the deposit today.

The heads were off the block since May so the engine sat as you see in the pictures for all that time. Usually one would put oil and rags in the cylinders so this doesn't happen, but the mechanics working on it didn't do that unfortunately ruining the motor.

Yeah, he wasn't my mechanic. As i've mentioned, truck was my friend's and he was the one who used that particular mechanic. But yeah, thats what I felt like doing anyway when I talked to that mechanic when picking up the car.

I'd rather not disclose what I got for it but it was actually more than the asking price. I've gotten a lot of interest and people actually started bidding up the price.
