1994 discovery

I have and 1994 discovery my alternator went bad and stuck in full charge mode and cooked my battery put new alternator and battery in it still will not start have no power to fuel pump now when key is in start position all fuses are good is there a safety circuit I’m missing from that alternator ?

Not familiar enough with the electrical system to say, but first thing I'd check is the inertia switch. Confirm fuses in the engine bay are also in good condition.

You should hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key on. A few seconds to build pressure. If you have spark and it’s turning over it’s a fuel problem. I’d check the fuel pressure (obviously after the inertia switch).
