Hello all,

Long time RRC guy here who just bought my first disco. I?m loving the truck! Was wondering if someone out there had any idea as to what it is I have exactly. I?m pretty sure it isn?t an XD. I tried running a VIN check but wasn?t able to get a whole lot of info. My specific question is: what does the ?custom build camel trophy? badge mean exactly (if anything)? Has anyone ever heard of a ?custom build? from the factory? It doesn?t appear to be the same as the ?Special Vehicles? badge that I?ve seen before. Has anyone seen a ?custom build? badge like this? I?ve posted some pics, lemme know what you think. Thanks!

yeah, bad for a 20 year old truck...thats worth 3 to 4k tops. Just because the preivous owner bolted a bunch of crap on it doesnt increase it value.

Don't sweat it. If you like the Rover you bought, if you think it was a fair price, and it has everything you want, then what do you care what other people think about it? You don't need to come to Discoweb for validation of your purchase. Just enjoy it for what it is. I'm not sure what it is either, but it's not a Camel Trophy truck. Also, if you can figure out how to post to the forum without all those question marks displaying in your posts that would make for easier reading.

$7800 is certainly higher than blue book or what anyone here would probably pay. If you are happy with it, who cares? Just don't expect that you will get a premium for it if you sell it. Go wheel it, show it off in the carpool line, grab drinks with other Rover guys, just enjoy the truck. Sorry if you thought you got a real Camel. At the end of the day, it will keep Shayne from trying to low-ball you on buying it.

That's some fucked up code between iphones and this place.

Also everyone on Dweb thinks Discos are worth no more than $3500, regardless of condition. Truefacts.

I'm really fascinated by this... it's probably just a custom paint job on a D1, but it's still kinda interesting. Can you share pics of the interior? Does it have sunroofs? Manual or automatic?

It's possible that it started life as an ECO XD, but if there are no graphics to indicate that, it's most likely just custom paint and added parts.

Like PM said, all the additions would have added up pretty quickly...

Tough crowd!

you have no idea.....

Anyway, I like the truck. Clean discos are getting harder to find. While it might not be a genuine camel trophy disco, its still a nice disco that honors what land rover used to be about.

Fuck all the haters and run what ya brung
