1997 Land Rover Discovery SE for sale

Original owner, factory maintained throughout its wonderful life of 226K miles. Vehicle is in good condition and fully operational. It has been inspected and insured throughout.

This vehicle has the Trail Package which includes:
? Running Boards
? Brush bar with Hella driving lights
? Rear Roof ladder
? Rear Taillight guards
? Extra duty side moldings

Vehicle also has the multi-CD changer, extra set of all-season rubber mats, trunk mat, and dual sunroofs. I am also including two additional Pirelli Scorpion tires (50% use) in addition to the full-size spare.
Known Mechanical Issues:
? The driver-side auxiliary fan is not spinning to proper speed and probably needs to be replaced
? Sunroof just started leaking slightly and needs a new screw/cap to tighten the glass down (link to part # included-- http://www.roversnorth.com/store/p-10011-screw-sunroof-glass-discovery.aspx and/or http://www.roversnorth.com/store/p-10490-nut-sunroof-glass-discovery.aspx )
? Hella lights no longer operational. This occurred after dealer installed a new battery so I suspect that its wiring harness was damaged/disconnected. When I priced a harness, it was about $100 or so.
? Windshield was recently cracked while in the driveway when we had a severe windstorm about 6-7 weeks ago

I am selling the car because it is a third car that has only been driven about 3,000 miles over the past 4.5 years and insuring it is no longer justifiable. This would be an excellent car for those that want to truly off-road a Land Rover but never had the heart to do it on a new vehicle. It would also make an excellent car if you wanted to part-it-out ? just don?t tell me you are going to do it ? it will break my heart.
Proudly offered at $2250 OBO (Land Rover bike rack is not included in this price). I live in the Philadelphia, PA region.
Contact me at bmandel16@gmail.com if you have a serious interest.

Picture to be posted shortly -- I was having an issue with the bulletin board.

I always wondered how folks could be married for 30-40 yrs and then get a divorce. I mean what kind of obstacle has not been thrown in your way at that point???

Will, it is a difficult decision and if things don't work out selling it I will surely keep it. However, in PA, I am forced to keep liability insurance on every car. And, I cannot keep cheap liablity on one car and expensive liablity on another -- all cars must have the same. So, it is costing me close to $1000 a year to insurance and inspect the vehicle for what amounts to 600-700 miles per year. That is $1.50 dollars/mile plus the cost of fuel.
