1998 D1 will crank but not start

Hey,
My D1 has been running fine, but I recently installed a kill switch on the battery as I have had issues with the battery draining over time. I went to start it the other day and it cranks but will not turnover. I have checked the fuse for the fuel pump and it was good. I checked the pressure on the fuel line and it was 0. The engine is not getting fuel. What do I need to check next? Hoping I don't have to replace the fuel pump. Could it be the filter or the relay? I do not hear the fuel pump come on when I first turn the key.
Thanks

What is your battery voltage when you try to start the truck?

Are you able to turn the lights on?

Are you able to activate the alarm?

Okay so the battery voltage is enough to start the truck?

Have you tried removing the kill switch to rule it out as the problem?
Make sure all the stock wires are properly connected to the correct side part of the battery.

Hmmm...no pressure at the fuel rail would be a fuel related issue. And you said the fuse for the fuel pump was good.

Have you looked at the wires connected to the fuel pump. Make sure nothing is burned or shorted out.

Good move...

Everything mentioned is what I had problems with back in the day. It was one thing after another but finally got it running. It was burnt and broken wires connected to the fuel pump.

You've got a fuse, relay, inertia switch and fuel pump. Start with power at the pump and work your way back in the system until you find power.

It sits on the passenger side of the fire wall. You can simply disconnect it and test for power on the harness side. If you have power on one side of that connector, jump the connector to make sure you have power at the pump. or if the pump is plugged in, see if the pump primes when you turn the key on.

Update; I have power at the fuel pump. All wires look good. Replaced the fuel inertia switch. No luck on the engine starting. I have ordered the relay module. If that doesn't work, I am planning on replacing the fuel pump.

So you're getting power at the pump when you cycle the key on and while you're cranking and the pump is not coming alive? Check the ground. If that's good replace the pump.

He has power at the pump though. I get what you're saying but he wouldn't have power at the pump if that were the case. He needs to make sure the ground is good. And as long as the connector is making good contact and it's still not coming on with a key cycle, he'll need a pump.
