2003 D2 with 178k miles, engine rebuilt at 118K.

Drove for 10 minutes yesterday, parked the rig for 2 hours. Went to start and no go. The battery is good and the vehicle was cranking strong, but requires a good bit of input from the throttle to start back up. After firing back up, no issues, drove as it should until the SEL flashed and the car turned off at 35 mph. Coasted to the side of the road, worked the accelerator as it cranked and all was good. Replaced the Fuel relay, have fresh gas.

Driving to work this morning, SEL flashes on, no power, as I'm coasting the motor comes back to life and all is good.

Where do I start.

With a code reader to look at stored error codes and freeze frame data!

Used two different code readers and no errors.

Stopped at autoparts shop on way home, disco would not start. Poured water on the CPS and vehicle started. 300 yards from home, cut out again. Poured water on CPS and it started back up.

Changed CPS, probably time to take care of valve cover gaskets. Maybe the rear main seal too
