Hi-
I have had my Disco for about a week. Yesterday the Service Engine Soon came on. Codes P1415 and P1412 were pulled at the local Autozone. I searched the Discoweb Technical boards using P1412 and P1415 as the keywords. There was not a whole lot of information. I have looked under the hood for any loose vacuum lines, but I don't see anything out of place. Do you have any advice? The closest dealer is over an hour away. I would rather fix it myself. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks-
Jack

A very common cause is an oil soaked vacuum fitting at the vacuum canister on the passenger side between the fender and valve cover.

as loydster stated above its for lh and rh sai system delivery fault; air not reaching catylist. since its set off the code for both banks at the same time look for something common to both sides. does the sai pump even run at all when it supposed to? look for the pipe out of the pump to come off. where that rubber or plastic or whatever it is pipe coming off of the pump connects to the metal tubing at the rear of the engine on the rh side it connects with a plastic piece that can become brittle and snap off.

if the eng coolant temp is below 131 deg F the ecm will run the SAI system for 76 seconds, according to the maint manual. the SAI system was the first time my CEL came on, oh it brings back the memories. i only had one side throw a code and turns out my valve was not moving even w/ vacum applied. i cleaned it up and soaked it in aero-kroil, cleaned it again and got it to free up and move nicely. no more problems that was 3 years ago. it helped prompt me to get my own code reader.

what year is your disco? in the future we will need that info for all tech questions, welcome aboard

This is really great. Thank you all for your input. Unfortunately, I have not found the culprit. I double, triple, and quadruple checked all the vacuum lines and electrical connections. Still nothing! I checked the fusible link too. That looked good. I am stumped.
What service manuals are you guys using? I am going to order one next week.

scroll down to 03-08-07 post and you will see the same problems there that i had and was able to find the answer with the search......it was the vacume hoses on the fuse box side of the engine.

Thank you all for your input. My SES light turned off this morning. I must have fixed the vacuum leak when I was unplugging and reconnecting all the vacuum hoses.

Thanks!
