2004 Giverny Green HSE7 Disco that looks as if it was kept in a time capsule. Paint is nearly perfect. Interior is excellent. The truck was very well cared for. Rear air suspension intact and functioning. No lights on dash. Currently 128k on odometer. Registered in state of OR until 2022.

Of note:
- One original long time owner. I acquired it this past summer.
- Around 106k, the original block succumbed to the slipped liner/crack. A lower mileage short block was used for replacement and full rebuild with new components. Work performed by Green Oval in Portland, OR. Prior to this, the car was maintained LR of Portland.
- When I purchased, it had a small external HG leak from back of block. All the gaskets were redone on top end, heads were redecked and cleaned. After 500+ mile road test, it performs as it should.
- Has nearly every option available aside from ACE, including heated front windscreen, heated seats, 7 seats and the original navigation unit. Everything functions properly.
- Sunroof seals and drains were redone
- The engine has the “diesel” sound on warmup with an occasional top end tick. I say occasional bc it’s not consistent. The engine oil was replaced with T6 Rotella synthetic which seemed to help quiet it down a bit.
- All supporting documents for work comes with vehicle.
- The headliner is the original and not “perfect” but not really sagging either.
- Undercarriage looks like it’s never been driven outside. Door seals are tight and look new.
- Power steering whines a bit when cold turning lock to lock.
- No leaks or weeps of oil from anywhere.

Asking $9900. I believe this is a fair asking price for this vehicle given its condition and what clean options are going for on BAT. I tried to be as thorough in this listing as possible. Happy to share video of vehicle running and additional pictures.

The disco is currently located in Bend, OR. It is posted for sale locally as well.

The diesel sound is always there. The tick is more pronounced when engine is warm. However, even when warm, doesn’t make the ticking noise consistently. The tick itself def sounds like it’s coming from top of engine (just under valve covers), passenger side around cylinder 8/6.

The tick is puzzling to me. Doesn’t affect performance. Sometimes it will idle quietly when warm other times it won’t. Given the history of the newer engine, new cam/lifters, oil pump, timing chain, you would think it would eliminate some causes. Like I said above, the T6 Rotella seemed to quiet down.

Driving this morning, the ticking increases with rpm's. Again, sometimes there's no tick at idle. Doesn't sound consistent with a slipped liner. The diesel "chatter" is always there though.

Have similar situation with a ‘96 4.0. Takes about 15 seconds for my tick to go away at startup.
On occasion I get a tick after engine warms up and driving. Mine is a lazy lifter that will loose pressure. Comes and goes. Eventually will need addressed.
Nice Rover. GLWS.

That was a nice looking 2004. The problem with these things is that you just have to accept the fact the 4.6 V8 is a consumable part.
